Industrial Internet of Things Overview series

Industrial Internet of Things

Overview series

Intro

This overview series focuses on the use of IoT in industrial settings, such as manufacturing and supply chains. It offers a comprehensive and structured program that familiarizes professionals with the essential elements of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT): from architecture and core components (including communication protocols) to data analytics and AI. Cybersecurity is also addressed. The series includes several practical sessions, such as a hands-on workshop, case studies, and a company visit to a 'smart building'.

Goals

In this series, you will gain better insight into the following questions:

  • How do you transition from a standalone product to an IIoT-integrated product?
  • What IIoT technologies are available, and how do you choose the best IIoT software for your company?
  • What other architectural decisions should you consider?
  • Which aspects should you develop in-house, and which are better outsourced to an external commercial partner?

Target audience

Professionals in industrial sectors such as manufacturing, construction, energy, transportation, and supply chain.

For the sessions on data analytics and microservices a technical background is recommended.
